Who wields power and how is it exercised? Here Colson Whitehead, Natasha S. and Kristín Eiríksdóttir will discuss the manifestations of power, both in literature and in real life with professor Silja Bára Ómarsdóttir.
Colson Whitehead is a back-to-back two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for his novels, The Underground Railroad and The Nickel Boys. Kristín Eiríksdóttir is one of the most interesting voices in Icelandic literature. She has written about violence and the multi-faceted manifestations of power imbalances. Natasha S attracted a lot of attention for her first book of poetry, Language Acquisition in War Times, which deals with the experience of watching from afar while her home nation invades another country.
The event will take place in English.
