Júlía Margrét Einarsdóttir has an MA degree in writing from the University of Iceland and an MFA degree in screenwriting from the New York Film Academy. Júlía has written and published numerous short stories, a micro-novella at Partus Press and was resident poet of the Reykjavík Pride festival in 2015. She had a memorable success with her first novel, Drottningin á Jupíter (2018). In 2021, she published her second novel, Guð leitar að Salóme, which will be brought to life on stage at Landnámssetrið in a performance in the spring of 2023. Along with writing, Júlía works in cultural journalism and programming.
