Ian McEwan awarded the first Halldór Laxness International Literary Prize in Reykjavík

On Thursday September 19th, Ian McEwan was awarded the first Halldór Laxness International Literary Prize. Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Iceland’s Prime Minister, presented the author with the award.

The award ceremony was held at Veröld, House of Vigdís, at the University of Iceland. A recording from the award ceremony is available here: The Award Ceremony.
