
Thomas Korsgaard, born in Viborg, Denmark, studied Nordic languages and literature at Aarhus University without completing his studies.
In 2017, he published his debut novel Hvis der skulle komme et menneske forbi (tr: If a Human Should Happen to Pass By), the first part of an autobiographically inspired trilogy. The second part, En dag vil vi grine af det (tr: One Day We Will Laugh about It), was published in 2019, followed by the third part, Man skulle nok have været der (tr: You Probably Should Have Been There), in 2021. Korsgaard’s trilogy sold 300,000 copies in Denmark alone. In 2021, he was awarded the De Gyldne Laurbær literary prize for the third part and the Otto B. Lindhardt Prize for his literary work.
