Natasha S. is a writer and translator of Icelandic literature into Russian. In 2021, she edited the book Pólífónía af erlendum uppruna, a collection of poems by immigrants in Iceland. In spring 2023, the book Writers Adrift, co-edited by Natasha, will be published by Una útgáfuhús. Natasha has also attracted attention for her articles and essays. Máltaka in á stríðstímum is her first book. The work is the narrative of the person who follows the war in her homeland from a distance. Her own nation, Russia, militarizes and invades Ukraine. The author’s opposition to the conduct of the war raises complex emotions and questions that are grappled with in the book. The book won the Tómas Guðmundsson Literature Prize.
