Margrét Lóa’s first book, a collection of poetry with the name Glerúlfar, was published in 1985. Since then Margrét has published 10 books of poetry as well as one novel. Margrét Lóa has taught creative writing, drama, editing, art, book design and poetry translation. In addition, she has operated the art gallery Marló and a publishing house under the same name. Margrét Lóa received recognition from the Library Fund for writing in 2002 and from the Fjölís Fund of the Icelandic Writers’ Association in 2005.
Margrét Lóa takes part in two events: Poetry Program and a panel discussion called Stranger than Fiction.
