Govind Deecee is a commissioning editor at DC Books. He is formally trained in Cinematic Arts and Photography and holds a BFA in Economics. He graduated from Syracuse University in New York. Before transitioning to publishing, he worked as a video editor and cinematographer on commercial ad films. At DC Books, he is responsible for commissioning new works, as well as managing translations and rights.
Since 2019, Govind has also overseen the audiobook division at DC Books, curating titles for audiobook publication.
In addition, Govind curates international and non-Malayalam programming for The Kerala Literature Festival, organized by DC Books. Together with his team, he actively plans and executes over 300 events and talks for the festival.
