Thomas Korsgaard is a Danish author who made a breakthrough at the age of only 21 with the book If a Human Should Happen to Pass By which was the first book in a trilogy inspired by the author’s life, difficult home circumstances, and upbringing. Korsgaard was once homeless and lived on the streets when he submitted his first manuscript.

Erika Fatland is a Norwegian anthropologist who enjoys great popularity for her non-fiction works. She has written seven books that have won numerous awards and have been translated into more than twenty languages. She first gained attention in 2015 with the book Sovetistan, where she recounts her travels through the former Soviet republics that have the suffix -stan. In her 2021 book The Border, she describes her travels around Russia, visiting all the countries that share a border with Russia. In Heights, she tells the stories of people and communities in the Himalayan mountains. Her latest book, The Navigators, is a travelogue about the countries that were once part of the fallen Portuguese empire. Erika Fatland is among the most popular non-fiction authors in Norway.
