Three authors will discuss post colonial states and the colonial legacy of the West, each from their own unique perspective. Portuguese writer Gonçalo Tavares, who was born in Angola, the former colony of his homeland, will take the stage together with Boualem Sansal and Kim Leine. Sansal’s books have been banned in his home country, and the Danish author Kim Leine is best known for his colonial trilogy, which deals with Greenland’s relationship with Denmark. The discussion will be moderated by translator Helga Soffía Einarsdóttir.

The event will take place in English.
