The Norwegian writer and journalist Åsne Seierstad will be interviewed by Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, Former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland and representative of UN Women in Afghanistan, on the topic of Afghanistan and the current state of women’s rights and human rights in general. Åsne Seierstad is a renowned author and journalist who has covered conflict zones and humanitarian crises around the world. Her work has received international acclaim and has shed light on issues affecting vulnerable populations, including women and children. Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir brings her own unique perspective to the discussion, having worked on the ground in Afghanistan as a representative of UN Women. She has firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by women in the region.
