Wolfgang Schiffer, writer and poet, has worked for many years in leading positions in radio broadcasting in the fields of radio drama, radio documentary and literature. As a promoter and translator of Icelandic literature, especially poetry in Germany, he works for the literary magazine die horen, the publisher Corvinus Presse and above all for ELIF Verlag<\/a>. He also works as an editor for ELIF\u2019s entire literary program.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1991, he was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Icelandic Order of the Falcon for his services to Icelandic-German cultural exchange. He also received the Cultural Prize of the Icelandic Banki Fund in 1994.
