Krist\u00edn Svava T\u00f3masd\u00f3ttir is an Icelandic poet, writer and historian. She has been active on the Icelandic literary scene since 2007, when she published her first book of poetry: <\/span>Bl\u00f3tg\u00e6lur<\/span><\/i> (<\/span>Tender Swear Words<\/span><\/i>). Krist\u00edn Svava\u00b4s poems have been translated into English, Danish, German, Finnish, Polish, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and Arabic, and published in various magazines and anthologies. Krist\u00edn has also worked as a translator of Spanish, English and Portuguese into Icelandic. She was one of the editors of the poetry series Me\u00f0g\u00f6ngulj\u00f3\u00f0, published by Partus Press. Her works have earned her various literary awards, such as the Bookseller\u2019s Award for the best poetry collection in 2007 for <\/span>Bl\u00f3tg\u00e6lur,<\/span><\/i> Icelandic Women’s Prize for Fiction for <\/span>Hetjus\u00f6gur<\/span><\/i> (2020), and the Hag\u00feenkir Award for non-fiction for her book on the history of pornography in Iceland, published in 2018. Her latest book is <\/span>Fars\u00f3tt (Epidemic)<\/span><\/i>, published in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
