Krist\u00edn Eir\u00edksd\u00f3ttir\u2019s first book of poetry, <\/span>Kj\u00f6tb\u00e6rinn<\/span><\/i>, was published in 2004. Even before this debut, Krist\u00edn had published in magazines and newspapers and managed to position herself as one of the most interesting literary voices of her generation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She published more poetry before her first work of prose, the short story collection <\/span>Doris Deyr<\/span><\/i>. Two years later she followed up with the novel <\/span>Hv\u00edtfeld to critical acclaim.<\/span><\/i> Critics agreed that Krist\u00edn had a strong grasp on the form and managed to create a unique atmosphere in her works. In 2017 Krist\u00edn published a second novel, <\/span>El\u00edn, \u00fdmislegt<\/span><\/i>, which won her both the Icelandic Literary Prize and the Women\u2019s Literary Prize, <\/span>Fj\u00f6ruver\u00f0launin<\/span><\/i> and a nomination for the Nordic Literary Award. Her latest novel, <\/span>T\u00f3l<\/span><\/i> (2022) was an immediate success and earned her a nomination for the Icelandic Literary Prize.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
