The International Halld\u00f3r Laxness Literary Award will be presented for the fourth time in September 2024. The Ukrainian author Andrey Kurkow<\/a>\u00a0 received it in 2022 and on that occasion held the Halld\u00f3r Laxness Lecture<\/a>. The award is supported by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Culture and Business Affairs, Business Iceland, Glj\u00fafrasteinn: The House of Halld\u00f3r Laxness, Forlagi\u00f0, the publishing house of Halld\u00f3r Laxness in Iceland, and the Reykjav\u00edk International Literary Festival.<\/p>\n

The Reykjav\u00edk Literature Festival will next take place on April 23-27, 2025, marking 40 years since the festival was first held. Preparations have already begun, and a diverse and vibrant program is expected in the city.
