Samanta Schweblin


Samanta Schweblinis a young Argentinian author who has published three short story collections and two novels. She has won several literary prizes and her works have been translated into more than 20 languages. Her first novel, Fever Dream (Distancia de Rescate), was nominated for the International Man Booker award and just last month her collection of short stories, A Mouthful of Birds was also long listed for the International Man Booker award.

She writes in Spanish but lives and works in Berlin where she holds workshops in writing at her home two times a week.
